Cancellations:
Your right of cancellation
- The rights of cancellation set out below apply to any agreement between you and us save insofar as the agreement is in respect of computer software if it is unsealed by you.
- You have a right to cancel the agreement at any time before the expiry of a period of fourteen working days, beginning with the day after the day on which you receive the goods.
- Because you have cancelled the Contract between us within the 14-day cooling-off period we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 14 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation, provided the goods have been returned to us in the same condition as delivery. In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full, including the cost of sending the item to you, up to our cheapest delivery method. We will not refund premium delivery surcharges; however, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We recommend that all items are returned via a recorded delivery method, as we will not be liable for any damage or loss whilst in transit.

by a notice in writing which you leave at our address (provided above)
by a notice in writing which you send by post to our address (provided above)
by electronic mail to our electronic mail address (provided above)
Returns:
Our returns policy lasts 30 days from invoice date. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition in which you received it. Goods must also be in the original packaging. Please see below types of goods which are exempt from being returned:
- Gift cards or Vouchers.
- All software products.
- Flash Memory unless faulty.
- Printer Inks unless faulty.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are damaged on arrival or defective within 12 months of purchase. If you have a defective or damaged item, please call us on 01243 767399, or send us an email at info@scanstation.co.uk
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, we will issue a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be informed about your return.
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should contact us on info@scanstation.co.uk for our written approval of the goods to be returned. Once approved you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
